100 GUITARS WANTED..

The proposal to be exhibited in Liverpool in 2011

Former lecturer, turned musician-singer-songwriter-writer Bill Hart, is planning to construct a major new and exciting Merseyside Art Installation commemorating and celebrating Merseysound: 50 Years On..

Containing 100 suspended Guitars - The proposed installation's shape and form is of three-dimensional 'floating' effect depicting a simple, gently-flowing River Mersey wave.

Covering a floor area of 1800 sq ft (60' x 30') with the surrounding existing walls used for the display of donors 'facts' sheets and an indentification key to each individual Guitar on display.

The Guitars can be of any value, type or condition. Historically, the Guitars must have been played in any past perfomance in the Cavern Club, Liverpool UK.

The Guitars will be donated as a loan to NEWLiiNE Words & Music UK for an unspecified time and then returned to each owner in their original condition after use in the Exhibition. Credits will be ascribed to each Guitar owner featured in a wall mounted display. All reasonable care will be taken to ensure the security of each Guitar once it has been submitted. Only one Guitar per person will be accepted.

A Published Book titled: MERSEY-SOUND-WAVE; Merseysound: 50 Years On.. - containing 120 pages of details and photographs - will be available as a free momento to each Guitar owner.
